This artwork captures the enduring presence of a traditional Karoo windmill set against a backdrop of rocky hills, hardy vegetation and expansive sky - a scene indicative of the South African interior. The windmill, weathered, but steadfast, stands as a symbol of resilience and quiet continuity in a landscape shaped by time and the elements. The artwork reflects a deeply rooted connection to place, portraying not just the physical geography of the Karoo, but also its spirit - enduring, remote and quietly majestic.
Door-to-door courier fees will be added post-auction (R250 to main South African hubs, R350 to outlying areas, competitive international rates available upon request, email auctions@thewinelandsartgallery.co.za).
